FOOTBALL ANALYST
Description
Have you ever been interested in the world of sports analytics? Do you have and an interest or background in the game of football? Then this position may be exactly what you are looking for.
Atavus is seeking highly enthusiastic and dedicated individuals interested in using film analysis to provide safety and performance insights for football coaches and athletes across the country. If you are looking to start a career in the sports industry or simply learn more about the game of football, Atavus has an opportunity for you.
In this role you will collaborate with the Atavus Operations team to conduct game film analysis and data collection for all Atavus clients, projects, and contribute to the expansion of the Tacklytics database, Atavus’ tackling analytics platform. Every member of the Operations team started by performing the same film and data analysis. New members of the team will spend their first three weeks remotely learning the Atavus method for analyzing and collecting data which will change the game of football at every level. For the duration of the football season, the team will collaborate to complete work on a deadline for Atavus’ clients and specified projects. As a member of that team, you will be asked to work remotely up to 20 hours per week primarily on weekends. This is a part-time seasonal position and analyst will be paid by game.
Duties
Review and analyze football game film based on Atavus tackling technique on a weekly basis for high school, college, and professional clients
Enter data into Tacklytics platform based on game film analysis
Provide insights and recommendations for client improvement based on data collected
Qualifications
A high level of enthusiasm for sports
A team-oriented attitude and work ethic
Ability to thoroughly describe one’s own thought process verbally and in writing
Some demonstrable knowledge of either NFL, NCAA and/or High School Football
The ability to meet deadlines
Flexibility to work up to 20 hours per weekend during the football season (July-December)
Excellent communication skills via email and/or other product management tools
