TACKLING CERTIFICATION
The Flower Mound Youth Football Academy has partnered with Atavus Football to deliver the best-in-class tackling certification that not only keeps players safe, but helps improve team performance at the same time.
The Atavus Tackle Certification was built by players and coaches for players and coaches with the intention of building confidence in athletes, empowering coaches, reducing risk & liability, and improving both safety and performance. The Atavus Certification teaches the same technique that Atavus instills from youth programs to our college and NFL partners.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
FMYFA Coaches must complete Tackling Certification each year
NEW COACHES
All NEW coaches must complete Level 1 Tackling Certification
New Coaches = Any coach who has not completed any Atavus Certification for FMYFA
*New coaches do not need to complete Level 2 until their second year of coaching for FMYFA
RETURNING COACHES
All RETURNING coaches must complete Level 2 Tackling Certification
Returning Coaches = Any coach who has completed Level 1 or Level 2 Certification
*Returning coaches must complete Level 2 Certification each year to recertify
