ATAVUS TACKLING CAMP

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VICE ATHLETICS NORTH

Session 1: MAy 2nd | Session 2: May 9th

CAMP STRUCTURE

  • Athletes will learn from the Atavus coaches the proper tackling techniques based on the focus of that session in a classroom setting. Athletes will get to learn how to watch game film and visually see proper and improper tackling techniques. As a bonus, Atavus will review film from the athletes’ previous session and provide our own analysis.

  • Athletes will take everything they learn in the classroom setting and take it to the field. Atavus coaches will take athletes through various tackling drills and competitions to work on the techniques covered in the classroom. Athletes will receive instant, real-time feedback from Atavus coaches to boost their performance and safety.

  • Every athlete from every sessions will be analyzed by Atavus coaches. After each session, Atavus will provide athletes their own personal performance assessment, which will give them insights into their areas of strength and areas to continue to work on.

  • The full camp will include two sessions on two separate days. The first session will focus on the PRe-Contact phase of tackling and session two will focus on Contact phase.

  • This camp is for all athletes, boys and girls, at both the Youth (Ages X-13) and High School (Ages 14-18) levels, with each day’s session separated by these groups (Youth in the morning, High School in the afternoon).

Whether you play tackle or flag football, the technique taught are applicable to both games.

  • Session 1: Pre-Contact - Saturday, May 2nd 2026
    Session 2: Contact - Saturday, May 9th 2026

About Atavus

Atavus Football is the leading authority in tackling performance and safety. Over 55,000 coaches and athletes use the Atavus system across the U.S. and in over 17 countries. The Atavus Tackle System was designed to improve both player safety and performance. But not only was it designed to accomplish this, but it’s also been proven to. Athletes who use the Atavus system make 7% more of their tackles, allow 8% less yards after contact, AND reduce head contact by 50%.

Atavus was founded in Seattle, WA with this mission to improve tackling performance and safety. It was built for players and coaches, by players and coaches, and has continued to improve athletes and programs at all levels of the game, including the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Huskies.
